A sequel of sorts to this image. Same pier, very different day, same idea.
Second HDR image i've done, starting to find what I like but decided to go mono for this one.
I know that this shot is a bit of a cliche (under pier shooting out to sea, everybody does it) but truth be told i've wanted to shoot it for long time :-)
Other Places: www.flickr.com/photos/probablecause (pretty much the same images but I do post some more exprimental stuff on flickr sometimes.
If you think it is a worthy cause I would always appreciate a vote on www.coolphotoblogs.com/

This has to be the best from the series, maybe because it's in BW.

@Observing: Cheers, I think that, taken as one of the "pier series" it's probably my favorite as well. Gotta love the BW :)
Really nice perspective !! I love the exposure and it's also my favorite of the series !

Hi Kris - like this one a lot. Don't go much for the "skew" horizons in the previous shots - I think they look much, much better with straight horizons. But I've always been a bit old-fashioned.....

@alex centrella: Thank you.
This is a great image, you have held back with the hdr and this is spot on. I find sometimes the hdr can be over done, well done.

@Alun Lambert: Cheers Alun.
I know what you mean, there seems to be a feeling that unless you tone map an image to within an inch of its life then its not HDR. I'm trying to not fall into that habit although i'm sure that there will be a time and a place for it.
I love the sense of depth in this shot.
